Where Your Mouth Is open mic tonight at WAG. Hopefully you'll be there, of course. (:

Regretting we didn't pick up the used hardback of "Peter & Wendy" we saw at the Friends of the Library yesterday, because I'm in the odd mood to sit at the mic and read a children's story. Who knows?

Great time tonight at Where Your Mouth Is tonight, including random Shakespeare, Beats, Plath and Bishop, the continuation of [livejournal.com profile] penny_player's one-vampire show, and [livejournal.com profile] flapper_girl going all children's librarian on us. All this, and [livejournal.com profile] daedalus_falls serving up java. Easily my favorite open mic night so far, and one hopes it'll only get weirder from here.

Been playing a lot with MySpace.com, and so far, it's kicking Friendster's ass. Just starting to play with this thing, but I like the functionality a lot.

Can't get the blog to work, though. Which is OK, as I do all my "serious" (yeah, right) blogging here. Does anybody know if you can just RSS from livejournal to MySpace, like you can on Friendster? That's the only thing that I can see which would make this work better. Evidently, my goal inlife is to have all of my Internet outlets inextricably linked together.

Also, there are tracks up by many bands I know and like, which makes me happy (and is, indeed, my main reason for being on it,) but I'm also VERY happy to see a few poets, including the amazing [livejournal.com profile] emceereeree, with listenable tracks. I'm going to shoot for a couple poetry/spoken word tracks myself. More of us writer types should do that. Damn the musicians! We want the airwaves, baby!
