The State of Being Victor
May. 3rd, 2005 10:11 pm*I have a new office chair, courtesy of
bantuathach. It's heavy but comfy, and it survived the trek down from her third-floor three-decker apartment up the stairs to our three-decker apartment. Still, I am thankful for it. It rocks.
*Have finished my second day working in the features department, and so far, I'm fond of it, although I don't recall how normal people work daylight hours. It's a temporary assignment (although I may be back there soon) so I figure I'll adjust to the schedule by the time I return to my weird daynight mix again. Ah, a life in journalism.
*Been too exhausted lately to work on much except, well, work. Have a "This Week in Poetry" pick in OC Weekly this Thursday, and am trying to get back into the habit of writing those again. Trying to keep up with the two columns, too, and return my attention to the Andy Kaufman story, which deserves some closure, but really, I have trouble imagining how I could close it without actually looking for ANdy Kaufman, who of course, is dead. If that made no sense, don't sweat it. Now that I have some distance from the story, maybe I can finish it out. Also, been pecking at new Web project, which is time consuming, but won't be once I get all the set up out of the way.
*I need a vacation. IJS.
