Red Rove-er, Red Rove-er, send Karl on over!

The White House put out a wishy-washy statement of confidence in Karl Rove today. If that follows the pattern of most of the president's wishy-washy expressions of support, Rove'll be resigning "to spend time with his family and make some money in the private sector." But I wouldn't bet on it.

Salon noted today that, "When a reporter asked if the White House now has a credibility problem, McClellan said: "These are all questions that you're bringing in the context of an investigation that is under way. This is coming up in the context of news reports. I appreciate those questions, and I think you're trying to get at the specific news reports, wanting me to comment on those specific news reports."

Oh yeah. They're spooked.
