Weekend

Just back from taking Ludo to the vet. He's in OK shape, but has some of the same health problems Jemmy and Kallisti had, which means he'll be on medication for the rest of his life. Also has a mass near his stomach, which he'll be getting injections for. Such is the life of a senior ferret.

Need to do some grocery shopping, and some cleaning this weekend. People coming over Sunday to work on/discuss various arts projects. It feels both good and frantic having several going at once again. Been a long time since I've run a series, and I've never done so out of California. People in Worcester haven't seen me in that mode, really. Should be interesting. Life is change, but I can't help but feel like I'm not so much changing as regaining something.

Plenty of work left to do on "November 3rd." Almost there...

Evidently, I'm having a "screw around with LJ" sort of day. Just seriously motivationless, despite the many, many things on my desk. The mild sinus headache isn't helping. The only thing so far that's working on it is coffee, which makes me fear for actually sleeping tonight. C'est la vie.

Read some more of "Never Mind the Pollacks," and a left-wing columnist type named "Commie Girl" has just appeared, which is an obvious shout-out to Pollack's and my mutual friend, Rebecca Schoenkopf, albeit in the seventies and in New York, as opposed to in the O.C. right now. Little things like that make me inordinatly happy.
