Morning in Whittier
Feb. 6th, 2006 07:39 amNow that was a fun birthday. Good group of people, entirely too much food, good beer and the Steelers won the Super Bowl. Can't ask for better than that.
Was good to see people, and Lori maks the best enchilladas EVAH!!!! And there was yummy cake and cupcakes. All, all good.
I love being back around here and seeing people. I know it's all a little shiny now because I've been away for a year, but still... I know some great people, and it's a great community of writers.
Running around with mom today, and the coffee/dinner with folks in Laguna. The rental gets good gas mileage, and that's a good thing.

After the gathering, we watched Elvis Costello on "Austin City Limits." Good to see him rocking out a bit again -- strains of the old '50s rock and country running through all the new stuff. Sounded good.
