The Wall Street Journal is reporting that The Harris Poll has Bush at a 29% approval rating. Now we're talking some interesting numbers. As I've said before, I refuse to talk impeachment until he reaches 27% in the Pew Center, which is the all-time low for anyone, anywhere that I know of. But I like the progress so far.

The even more interesting news is that this all seems to come before the news that the NSA knows what phone sex lines you use and how often you call your mom, and before it came out that Congress is blocking more embarrassing investigations into misuse of Iraq funds or before the investigation into the other NSA wire tapping concern was squelched for "national security reasons."

Of course, the Democrats still don't have a platform, and when they do have one, Howard Dean doesn't know what it is, such as his recent flub that the Democrats platform supports the idea that marriage is "between a man and a woman." (It says no such thing, and is no more true than Bush's assertion that "no domestic calls are tapped without warrants." I swear, these people aren't even trying anymore.)

The poll puts Congressional approval at 18%. I say vote each and every single one of them out. Complete clean slate. Even the good ones (both of them.) Start over from scratch with no majority for either big party, and a couple greens and libertarians to keep it all interesting. Now that sounds like fun.
