Car's out of the garage, and it passed inspection this morning, so I'm -- needless to say -- relieved. Being carless is one of the things I disdain most. Possibly even more than going to the dentist. And waiting for the inspection sticker I just find nerve-wracking. I end up pacing in the parking lot, chain-smoking and trying to discern what's happening in the garage. (Answer: not much exciting, except I had a break light out. Which was fixed for $5.)
Took a first editing pass at "A Fairy Tale of Worcester" this morning. Chopped 300 words out of it, but need to lose another 500 odd if I want to get it down to 1500, which is the goal. If that's just not possible without compromising the story, then that's fine, but the first pass strengthened it quite a bit, and I think the second pass will do so even more. We'll see.
Lea's out and about with friends today. If she gets home in time, might try catch the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus at the Lucky Dog.
