I've never been a big Oscars watcher, and in a year like this, where I've barely gotten to the movies at all, it's kind of surprising I watched the whole thing, but the allure of Jon Stewart was too much to resist. (And bonus Stephen Colbert voiceovers!)
Stewart was great -- funny, charming, took a few good shots without being obnoxious -- but then, I'm a fan. Lord knows what the Holywood types thought of him.
On the other side, I found myself musing on old-fashioned Hollywood grace and style, and noting that you can really see a trace of it still in Nicle Kidman and Charlize Theron. But really, there was only one actress who just hit me over the head as being both stunning and graceful up there:

Seriously, Salma Hayek is amazing to watch, and her presence has just grown exponetially over the years. And as she continues, she manages to gain more and more gravitas. In a stage full of Hollywood glitz, she seemed more solid than most. Really, for my money, the only male actor who had that up there was George Clooney.

She was as glamorous as I've ever seen anyone. I'll bet J-Lo was STEAMIN'.
